Kids’ Lenten Devotional — “I Need Thee Every Hour” — the chorus
ASH WEDNESDAY
Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent. On Ash Wednesday, we are reminded that we are people who sin; people who don’t always do what we should do. But! That’s not the end of the story! (Easter is coming!) During this Lent, we will learn the song, “I Need Thee Every Hour”. It’s a song you can sing to remind you of the ways in which you need Jesus, and how he is a faithful friend.
SING
Here is the chorus. Press play and sing along!
I need Thee, O I need Thee;
Every hour I need Thee;
O bless me now, my Savior,
I come to Thee.
Here is the whole song for you to listen to:
READ
“But you, O LORD, do not be far off! O you my help, come quickly to my aid.” (Psalm 22:19)
DO
Prepare a special place in your home – a sacred space – where you can go to think and talk and sing to the Lord. Pile up some comfy pillows. Draw a picture of something beautiful that God created and hang it on the wall. Pray and listen in that space each day of Lent.
PRAY
Thank you, Jesus, that you are my helper and friend.

This may be a Kids’ Devotional, but it is certainly applicable to all of us. Thanks for the message.
