Backpack Buddies: Help AFAC send backpacks full of food home each weekend with kids who otherwise wouldn’t have enough to eat. We’ve got a box in the narthex to collect your donations of: granola bars, microwavable meals and soups, squeezable PB&J, juice boxes, cheese crackers, boxes of raisins, trail mix, mac & cheese bowls, and fruit cups. Questions? Contact Louise: Go to restorationarlington.org/contact and choose “Children’s Ministry.”

Are you a teacher? As you’re gearing up for another school year, come meet other teachers at Restoration. Thurs., Aug. 29, at 7:30 pm at the Grays’: 4318 39th St. N., Arlington 22207. All are welcome—we’ll brainstorm, pray, and laugh. Questions? Contact Liz: go to restorationarlington.org/contact and choose “Prayer.”

Prayer at 4. Come to the Treehouse (2nd floor) each Sunday from 4–4:40 pm to pray. We pray for our worship service, for each other, for whatever’s going on in the world that we care about. These meetings are lively, varied, and lots of fun. All are welcome—including kids.

Always pray. Don’t lose heart.
