Thanks for sharing Louise! And thanks for the great example (I mean challenge) on being bold in our “asks”. Your post reminded me of the update I received this week from the pastor I worked with in Kenya (some of you may remember Pastor Steve from when he visited Restoration in April last year…).

He says, “Although, this month has not gone without challenges, the word of God has been ringing bells of encouragement in our hearts. As one unknown author wrote, ‘Sometimes we are so busy adding up our troubles that we forget to count our blessing’. All we can say is that God has done it and is promising to do amazingly great things for his children. ‘I will remember the works of the Lord: surely I will remember thy wonders of old. I will meditate also of all they work, and talk of thy doings.’ (Psalm 77:11,12)

What I love about Kenyans is that they have so much joy and love for one another and the Lord regardless of circumstances. It’s a great reminder for me that the Word of God is freely available to ring bells of encouragement in my heart. What more motivation do I need to stay in the Word…

    Thanks again for sharing!

Thanks, Louise — what a good conversation to share. This encourages me to engage in more regular talk with those I meet in passing, it may lead to new things and new friendships.
